This course will focus on the study of the Swiss lever escapement to service and repair them.
Including:
Pre-requisites: Watchmaker and watch service technician having experience from working on mechanical watches in a work environment. It is recommended to bring your own escapement tools such as an escapemeter if available, and personal hand tools such as screwdrivers, tweezer and eyeglasses.

Including:
- Adjusting the escapement for function, safety and performance
- Adjusting divisions and endshakes of the escapement parts
- Bankings or banking pins influence and adjusting guardpin and horn clearance
- Pallet jewel adjustments; -checking of drop, run to the banking and total locks
- Replacing damaged pallet staffs and pallet jewels
- Shellacking of pallet jewels
- Analyzing faults in the escapement
