Programs

Currently we offer a 4000 hour comprehensive program which provides all the fundamentals in classical watchmaking, please click here or on the above tab 'Fullskill Program' under 'Programs'

Learning Environment

Our school offers a modern working environnement with bright wide spaces gathering the most up-to-date eqpuipement.

At the K&H Watchmaking Centre, we expect our students to show keen interest in mechanical devices and hands-on practical work. They should be hardworking, disciplined and self motivated. There's no prior experience in watchmaking needed.

Students at KHWCC are instructed on a hybrid Apprentice-Mentor mode of teaching, whereby students are given almost dedicated attention by one teacher at any one time. This system of instruction allows  to be greatly flexible and beneficial.
Students are instructed, based on their individual learning progress, instead of progression as a whole class. This translates to a more effective and nurturing learning environment for the student.

The school offers an environment  similar to real After-sales workshops found in the watchmaking industry. Depending on the stituation, the students may have the chance to manufacture and replicate parts of a watch which needs replacement. Students are also expected to practice and maintain good customer service and repoire at all times.

As part of a team, the school encourages the students to participate on competitions. Every student will have the chance to make his own school watch during the second school year.

All instruction and teaching at the Korpela  Watchmaking Competence Centre are taught in English. Unless otherwise specified, technical terms are taught in French but with English translation.
